The event
21.1 km. 13.1 miles.
Your way.
Double Poling on the NRTHRN Trainer at NRTHRN Strong Flatiron

A half marathon, 21.1 km or 13.1 miles, completed entirely in Double Poling on the NRTHRN Trainer. Go solo and own every meter, or team up with one or two others and trade efforts until the distance is done.

It runs in the studio in Flatiron, under the aurora lights, with refreshments to keep you going from the first kilometer to the last. Double Poling is low impact and full body, so it is a real test of the engine without the pounding of running one.

Every meter shows on the tablet in real time. You always know how far you have come, how far is left, and what each effort added.

How it works
Four things to know.
01

Solo, two or three

Sign up alone for the full distance, or as a team of two or three who share it. Your choice, and both count as finishing.

02

Split it how you like

Teams share one machine and there are no fixed legs. Trade as often or as rarely as you want, and the clock runs until you hit 21.1 km.

03

Measured in real time

Distance, watts and stroke rate track live on the tablet, so you always see the meters left and exactly what each effort added.

04

Fueled the whole way

Refreshments to keep you going through the race, for the people on the machines and the teammates waiting for their turn.

Entry
One class credit a person.

Entry costs what a class costs. One person books the machine for the team, we book the rest of the team in, and each person uses one class credit, from a class pack or a membership. No credits yet? A single class or a class pack from the pricing page covers it.

Solo
1credit

The full 21.1 km, 13.1 miles, every meter yours.

Team of two
2credits

One credit each. Split the distance however the two of you want.

Team of three
3credits

One credit each. Three people, one machine, 21.1 km between you.

Questions.

When and where is it?

Sunday, November 15, 2026, at NRTHRN Strong, 35 West 21st Street in Flatiron, starting at 10am.

What does it cost?

One class credit per person. A solo entry is one credit, a team of two is two, a team of three is three.

I do not have any class credits.

Pick up a single class or a class pack on the pricing page, and that credit covers your place.

When can I book?

Right now. Fill in the form above and your spot is held, and we book you in when the Half Marathon opens in the schedule on Friday, October 16, 30 days before the race. From then you can also book it yourself.

How do we sign up as a team?

One of you fills in the form above with your teammates' names, and we book the whole team in. Nobody else needs to do anything, as long as each person has a class credit on their account.

Should I go solo or as a team?

Solo is the full 21.1 km (13.1 miles) on your own, a real test for anyone who trains regularly. A team of two or three shares the distance, so it suits mixed experience and first-timers just as well.

How does a team split the distance?

However you want. There are no fixed legs. Some teams swap every few minutes, others go long and trade less often.

Do I have to be a member?

No. The half marathon is open to everyone, members and first-timers alike. All you need is a class credit.

Is there food and drink?

Yes. Refreshments to keep you going through the race, for everyone on the machines and everyone waiting their turn.

What do I take home?

Every participant goes home with a goodie bag from our partner brands.
